Perhaps you are really happy with your job, your marriage or your family, but one of them dominates your life at the expense of other important things.

Recipe for a balanced life
If you have ever been on a crowded London underground during rush hour, you know what it means to “balance”. You are standing in the middle of a crowd of people, straining to reach the nearest handgrip or pole for support. As the train starts and stops, and turns left and right, you constantly have to readjust your weight ever so slightly, this way and that, in order to stay standing. If you stayed in one position, you would simply fall down into everyone else.
Having a balanced life is like this. Sometimes there are things in our life that will compel us to shift in one direction or the other in order to ensure that we stay on our own two feet. The problem is, sometimes we allow those things to pull us too far in one direction, and it becomes a permanent state from which we find it difficult to recover. We develop patterns of behaviour that we hardly even notice, and we get used to living without important values in our lives. Inside, we know that something is wrong, but we find it difficult to figure out how to change it, because we are so used to living like this.

The focus of coaching is to increase your self-awareness. Frequently, we are not even aware that things are piling up on us until it reaches boiling point.
